Just awful
Just awful! Filthy departures area. Waiting 30 minutes to just get a coffee and had to clear a dirty table before sitting down. The staff that were serving we’re working their socks off but just not enough of them. BUT on arrival back even worse - waited on plane for 45 mins as no buses available and too far to walk into terminal (we all tried) but not allowed. Then when buses did arrive crammed on and had to wait outside arrivals hall on bus in 30 plus degree heat for another 10 mins no one told us why! So thought oh at least cases will now be waiting as we saw them go off on the back of their cart.... Wishful thinking!!!! WAITED another 2 hours for them to arrive on belt. One member of staff for swissport hidden at desk at far end didn’t want to know. Awful experience Bristol please sort you have so many unhappy travellers.

THE CABIN BAR - Pull your socks up guys …
The Dropped in for a quick glass of beer and a half a pint of draft cider for my wife.
20 minutes to get 2 drinks served. 6 staff!
When I tasted my wife’s cider it SMELT OF OLD DRAINS. LIKE THE SLOPS OF OLD BEER. Sulphur.
So either the draft cider is OFF
Or their washing up is AWFUL.

Either way, the 20 minute wait was not worth it.
For £10.50.

A joke!
Heard from EasyJet that our flight was cancelled as we arrived at the airport. Our flight is still showing on all the displays, no-one knows it is cancelled. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff, (except for one Jet2 staff member who was friendly and helpful) and what made it worse was that the airport was not even busy. In fact I had bought speedy security which obviously we could not use. Went up to see about a refund, and told that I had to go to the airline, that's a joke as it was EasyJet! No queues at security, so would not have needed it anyway. Decided that I would not trust Bristol airport or Easyjet, so flew 2 days later with Ryanair from Stansted. Amazing experience. I have never seen a busier airport, but it was organised, friendly and all the staff were helpful. Not one flight was cancelled or delayed. In fact our flight left on time, and arrived 10 minutes early. On our return, it took 30 minutes to get from the plane and through passport control, even better our luggage was on the carousel when we got there. If Stansted and Ryanair can do it, why can't Bristol, and Easyjet?

Bristol airport and swissport
Bristol airport really need to part company with swissport. I have never encountered such a shambolic organisation and will not be using Bristol airport again if I find swissport are the baggage handlers for a potential flight

From start to finish a nightmare
From start to finish a nightmare.
No organisation.
Not enough staff
No communication
Massive queues, people joining from all angles, awful…. Supposed to be an airport. Absolute disaster.
I would sooner go to London than put myself through that again.
You arrive back and passport control is no better, just a free for all. Go where you like no organisation.
Shambles.
Clearly not enough staff.

Crazy mad at 04:00hrs!
I've never seen this airport so bust, at 04:00hrs! However, Jet2 system was very good. Departures was brimming and staff were trying to cope at the bars. Luckily we paid for fast security.
My main complaint and one that has been for several years, is the mega walk from gate 24 to collect baggage and passport control...800m! When will a travelator be installed as I am finding this walk too much. My husband has now said that for future reference, he will arrange special assistance due to my health issues. Baggage took over 30minutes before being put on the belt. Lots of improvements still need attention.

Special Assistance were fantastic
I am a disabled man who travels annually for holidays, since getting ill and losing my ability it took it out of me and put me off going at all, this year I tried the Special Assistance at Bristol airport, It was first class in every way , of course there were many there and it was really busy , but it was all made a ease and took all the legwork out of it for me , the staff were friendly and always had a good bit of banter and made you feel happy to be flying away for a holiday , and in real good spirts, on returning an older gent Pete, he was I think one of the oldest members of staff there, he knew everything , he was also brilliant , he made it all effortless for me and my partner, even helped with baggage collection and took us all the way from plane to arrow taxi at the front of the terminal well what more can I say ? he was great to chat with and made us welcome and good to feel back at home, so in general the whole journey from start to finish was first class and made it enjoyable instead of stress and difficulty and exhaustion , I can’t even start to say how much it made our experience a relaxed departure and return
Being less mobile really puts you off traveling but rest assured the staff there are priceless, so credit where its due, I would recommend anyone to give it a try

What a total shambles this once great…
What a total shambles this once great airport has become. Total chaos in the filthy departure lounge and we arrived at a “quiet” time. Our flight was unable to depart as the luggage from the incoming flight had still not been unloaded.
Worse of all was our return. Disembarked 02:25am at I think gate 26, with extremely long walk to passport control. Every single toilet was cordoned off stating cleaning in progress, although no sign of any cleaners. Eventually broke through tape and used disabled toilet as so did many others. Lifts down to passport control were not working and wheelchair users stranded.
All plans for expansion at Bristol must be stopped until they can manage current levels. CEO has had time to recruit and sort this out, I think he needs to seek alternative employment.

Trying to pay for their extortionate parking. Can’t even do that. Recorded message says can’t provide any more information. Absolute joke. They earn wages for this.

Probably the worst airport in the…
Probably the worst airport in the world. Service. Crap. Staff. Crap. Facilities Crap. Queues. They do their best to make sure they are as long as possible. Basically avoid this sad part of the world if you have any sense.

Understaffed and over crowded.
Understaffed and over crowded.
No seating and the hygiene was appalling.
No effective management of the huge amount of passengers crammed in all areas.
Thank you for giving me covid.
I spent two hours shoulder to shoulder with other passengers on Friday the 8th July as part of a herd - not a customer.
I took a preflight covid test to protect other customers (negative) and tested positive when I returned home on the Monday (11th) July
Customer focus has hit zero at Bristol airport.
Senior Managers - get a grip.
If there was an emergency there would be serious consequences with managing the huge amount of passengers.
Your standards have dropped massively, if you set the bar low it becomes normal…..

Absolutely awful airport I’m afraid to…
Absolutely awful airport I’m afraid to say. Previously have had no problems with Bristol airport but now it’s an utter shambles. Got through to departures with little problem I must say. Though we arrived 3 1/2 hrs early as we were aware there could be a lot
of waiting to check in baggage. Departures itself though was so over run with people. Getting a seat for food/drink was next to impossible and if you could the tables were disgusting. There were far to many people in the terminal, all seats were full and people were having to sit and lie on the floor. It was also extremely hot in the airport. The vast majority of flights were delayed and to make it worse they didn’t bother updating the departure boards. Our flight to Faro kept saying it was delayed by 15 minutes and that gate information would be available shortly an hour and half after the flight was due to leave. Thankfully it was just a delay by 2 hrs. Unfortunately the way back was no better. Again our flight was due to leave faro at 21:20 and it arrived 2 hrs late so we landed at 2:15. When we got to Bristol we had to wait 15 minutes for buses due to staffing. When the buses arrived they went to the other side of the terminal meaning a nice long walk to passport control carrying our 4month old. We are using Bristol airport in October as we had booked before this lovely experience and I am absolutely dreading it.

We were supposed fly from Bristol…
We were supposed fly from Bristol Airport on the 2nd of July at 1.35pm to Dalaman. On arrival at the airport the scene was utter chaos. We checked our backage in and then it took 2hrs queuing to get through security, as only half the security gates were being used. Once through security, the departure lounge was packed as at least 4 other flights had been cancelled and all but 2 on the departure board were late, some by as much a 8hrs. We manged to get a coffee and a pastry which was over £17 for 3 of us. I consider this as daylight robbery when you add to this the dirty tables and lack of seats. So we waited and waited along with possibly hundreds of others and our flight was eventually cancelled at 17.30pm. Officially delayed until 9.00am the following day we then tried to book in to a local hotel, but as so many flights had been cancelled, there wasn't a room available for miles. We eventually found a hotel in Clifton with a room rate of £190per night, with no family room available we had to book 2 rooms. Tui's compensation offers £150 per family. After collecting our bagage we had to look forward to the whole debacle again the next morning.
Our flight finally took off at 11.00am which was 21 hrs late!! How much of this delay was the airport's fault or TUI's is not known. But on our return on the 9th of July we sat on the plane for an hour waiting for a set of stairs to turn up so we could get off. Not what you want at midnight. It is obvious from our experience that the airport is poorly run and cannot cope with passenger numbers and the school holidays are not yet in full swing. If you are flying out of Bristol in the coming months my suggestion is to arrive 4hrs before take off, don't expect a seat while you wait, take a mortgage out before hand so you can afford food and hopefully you won't be affected by the low hygiene standards. Alternatively cancel and fly from somewhere else!!
